Mission honored for breastfeeding advocacy

The North Carolina Breastfeeding Coalition has awarded Mission Hospital its "Golden Bow Award" for discontinuing the practice of distributing manufacturer's formula sample bags. Women who receive these are less likely to initiate breast feeding and tend  to stop sooner if they do. Mission is just one in six NC hospitals to be honored with this award.
