Dr. William R. Hathaway is Chief of Staff for Mission Hospital.

Dr. William R. Hathaway joined Asheville Cardiology Associates, PA in 1999.  He completed his premedical education in Biology from Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont.  He obtained a medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  He completed his Internship and Residency at Duke University Medical Center, in Durham, North Carolina. Dr. Hathaway served as Chief Resident and completed his Cardiology Fellowship at Duke University Medical Center.  

Prior to coming to Asheville Cardiology, Dr. Hathaway served as Medical Director at LaSalle Heart and Lung Center in Appleton, Wisconsin.  His professional societies include fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Buncombe County Medical Society.
