The Great 100

Nurses from Mission Health honored as Great 100 nurses in North Carolina for excellence in nursing.

Six Mission Nurses Named to Great 100; Nominated by their peers

At Mission, we know we have great nurses. Since 1990, 161 have been honored as Great 100 NC nurses. That’s why we’re so proud to include this year’s six Mission nurses to that total. To be singled out by their peers is an honor in itself, but these nurses will also be honored at a reception here at Mission on Monday, October 17, 12:30 - 2:30 pm in the Orthopedic Conference Room, and a formal gala on October 22 in Greensboro.

This year's honorees:

         Joy Brooks, RN, CEN

         Shae Lynn Byas, RN, CPN

         Bryanna Gibbs, RN, BSN, PCCN

         Denise Mollenkopf, RN, MS

        Cheryl Postlewaite, MSN, RN, CWOCN

Kitty S. Ratzlaff, MA, BSN, CGRN

Nursing is like a finely woven tapestry of various textures, colors and patterns. There are so many wonderful choices! You have the opportunity to weave your pattern however you choose and also to share threads with lots of unique people. The more you give, the richer your tapestry becomes, as their threads are woven into yours. Our lives become a marvelous work of heart.

~Brenda Smith, RN, BSN, NE-BC
