That's one reason why Mission Hospital's Orthopedic Program-the largest hospital-based orthopedic program in North Carolina-is so important to our region. We offer superb medical and surgical care that includes experienced board certified surgeons and excellent technology.
Mission Hospital's Orthopedic Joint Replacement program is in the top 15 nationwide for volume of procedures performed annually. Our hip and knee replacement surgery program is a Blue Distinction Center SM, a distinction given by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina based on nationally endorsed quality measures.

Ortho Services at Mission Hospital uses a multidisciplinary approach that includes a caring team of physicians, physician assistants, podiatrists, pharmacists, physical and occupational therapists, and nurses. All these team members work closely together for seamless patient care.
Mission Hospital's inpatient ortho unit includes 42 beds and spacious operating suites with the latest technology. The Asheville Surgery Center is also fully equipped and staffed with highly qualified surgeons for same-day surgery.
