Lung Cancer Program

A diagnosis of lung cancer can turn your world upside down. You and your family face life changing decisions, and you must navigate in a new reality, learning about options and understanding a new language.  The Lung Program at Mission Hospital was created to provide coordinated, caring help for patients diagnosed with lung cancer. Coordinated care is critical because a variety of physician and health care services can be involved in diagnosis and treatment.

  • About Lung Cancer - Learn about facts, risks, detection and types of lung cancer.

  • Treatment Options - Pretreatment planning assures that all the health care professionals involved in lung cancer treatment come together to review your case and develop a plan for treatment.

  • Nurse Navigator - A nurse navigator works closely with you and your family, helping you to understand treatment options and explaining what you can expect. This skilled oncology nurse provides educational and emotional support.

  • Support & Resources - Mission Hospital's Lung Program provides additional resources and help (link to support/resources) to support you through the process.
