Precertification
Insurance companies may require a preadmission authorization of your need for surgery or hospitalization before you enter the hospital. You should address this either at the time your surgery is scheduled or at the time of your preadmission appointment at the hospital. It is ultimately your responsibility to obtain preadmission authorization.
Insurance
As a courtesy, we will file insurance claims for you. Charges not covered by your insurance plan are your responsibility. Deductibles and co-insurance payments may be collected upon admission. If you have no medical insurance, a deposit may be required prior to admission. We accept cash, checks, and most major credit cards. If needed, we will assist you in evaluating the availability of financial assistance.
Physician fees are not included in your hospital bill
These professional fees are billed directly to you by your surgeon. In addition to your surgeon, you may receive bills from the anesthesiologist, pathologist, cardiologist or radiologist.
