Minimally Invasive Surgery

At Asheville Surgery Center, many physicians perform minimally invasive surgical procedures. The biggest difference between traditional surgery and minimally invasive surgery is that a patient experiences less trauma from surgery -- less pain, less risk of infection, less scarring, and best of all, a much shorter recovery time. At Asheville Surgery Center, your surgeon has access to advanced technology for performing minimally invasive surgery, including the daVinci® computer-assisted robotic system. This advanced system allows the surgeon to insert miniaturized instruments and 3-D cameras to perform surgeries through tiny, dime-sized openings -- offering the surgeon greater accuracy and more options, giving you an increased chance for a speedier recovery.

We invite you to see the surgery center before your surgery. Our Preview Tours also give kids a chance to see the operating rooms, meet some of the staff, and even watch a special puppet having surgery.
