Mission Hospitals' Pulmonary Function Lab is staffed by licensed respiratory care practitioners specializing in pulmonary functions with CPFT (Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist) and RPFT (Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist) credentials.
The American Thoracic Society Registry, a volunteer registry, lists quality Pulmonary Function labs throughout the country, and recognizes the Pulmonary Function labs on both campuses as quality sites.
The Outpatient Pulmonary Lab, located on the St. Joseph campus, offers:
- comprehensive pulmonary testing, including:
- pre and post spirometry
- lung volumes
- diffusion capacity
- arterial blood gases with co-oximetry, electrolytes, Pentamidine Therapy and Indirect Caliometry.

We are staffed to take care of any type of respiratory treatments needed via hand held nebulizer or MDI. We do comprehensive bedside testing on both hospital campuses.
