The mission of the Nurse Clinician is to provide safe, quality patient care by facilitating activities for nurses in the clinical area that support attainment and maintenance of competence and proficiency.
The Nurse Clinician assures that processes are in place and implemented at the unit level for staff knowledge and education related to clinical practice updates and innovations; regulatory, accreditation and licensing standards; implementation of routine monitoring; and safety and quality audits.
Additional activities include leading and managing projects, collaboration, education of patients, families, and other healthcare professionals, publication, role model/mentor, and leadership.
