Mission's OccuMed: Healthy Workers = Healthy Business
Mission Hospital's OccuMed provides a full array of healthcare and screening services to businesses and industry in Buncombe, Henderson, Haywood, and Madison counties. The OccuMed staff includes an occupational medicine physician, a nurse practitioner, and three physician assistants, who each have a wide variety of occupational medicine experience. They maintain close communication with employer representatives in order to determine fitness for duty, evaluation, management and prevention of work-related injuries, and management of acute and chronic health problems. OccuMed also provides appropriate follow-up and compliance with various state and federal regulations.
