Mission’s marketing staff will work with you to set up interviews and filming of patients if they are appropriate and the patient has agreed.
Below are the guidelines we ask you to follow:
- Please work through Marketing & Web Services department, even if you already have the patient’s consent for an interview.
- When appropriate and possible, Marketing & Web Services representatives may give patients and family a message that an interview is requested.
- Interviews are not permitted with patients in the emergency department or in intensive care units.
- The patient’s nurse and a member of Marketing & Web Services will confirm privately that the patient wants the interview before it proceeds, and that the patient is well enough to give informed consent to an interview or images.
- Interviews with minors require the consent of their parent or guardian.
- Mission will handle necessary consent forms.
- The well-being and privacy of our patients is Mission’s paramount concern. We will terminate the interview if we have concerns about how the interview may be impacting/affecting the patient.
