Detencion del sangrado con presion y hielo El sangrado de la mayoria de las heridas puede detenerse aplicando presion directa sobre la herida. Esto evita la interrupcion del suministro sanguineo al miembro afectado. Cuando el sangrado es severo y una arteria principal ha sido afectada, la presion puede resultar insuficiente y puede ser necesario colocar un torniquete.
