Founders' Day Award Nomination
Do you know a community leader who through the years has gone "above and beyond" the expected dedication to healthcare? Someone who has had a positive and significant contribution to strengthening the quality and accessibility of healthcare in Asheville and the region? If so, take a moment to nominate them for the Founder's Day Award so they will be recognized for their contributions to the health of our community. Some past recipients include:

Award Criteria
Nominees should have:
- Been associated with healthcare locally for at least the past 10 years.
- Demonstrated accomplishments that are clearly recognizable as positive contributions to better healthcare for our community and region.
Also considered in the selection process:
- Involvement in healthcare activities at the state or national level.
- Current or past leadership positions in healthcare activities.
- Current or past connections with what is now Mission Health System including Memorial Mission Hospital, St. Joseph's Hospital, Asheville Colored Hospital, etc.
