Nicotine Dependence Program

Services currently offered by the Nicotine Dependence Program:

Freedom From Smoking Classes

  • Provided for community members, employees, and family members
  • A seven-week program that prepares smokers to quit for life
  • Cost is $65 (scholarships available) and includes work materials, 8 class sessions, individual assistance as needed
  • For upcoming class dates, visit our Classes & Events section and select "Freedom from Smoking" from the "Event Title" drop-down box

Pay It Forward Grant Program

  • Provided for community members and employee spouses
  • A small grant program to assist tobacco users with cessation drugs at cost
  • Participants repay the grant after cessation from their tobacco funds

Assistance with Smokeless Tobacco Cessation

  • Provided for community members, employees and families
  • Assistance in overcoming smokeless tobacco use
  • May also participate in the "Pay It Forward" grant program

Office Consults

  • Provided for community members, employees and families
  • Individual sessions for privacy or to meet schedule conflicts with classes
  • Sessions for families and friends choosing cessation together

Instructional Classes and Consults for Medical Professionals and Businesses

  • Advice and referrals for going smoke free, providing employee cessation programs, incentives and benefits
  • Accredited training for medical professionals
  • Some fees may apply
