Wounds (ulcers or sores) are sometimes considered minor health problems, but if not treated properly they can lead to serious conditions such as gangrene, loss of limbs through amputation, and even death.

Older adults are among the most frequent users of wound care services, and as our population ages the number of chronic cases will likely increase. To address this challenge now, we are providing preventive education, as well as care, for people throughout our region.
