Visiting Hours

It's important for our patients to be able to visit with loved ones while they are healing. However, guests are encouraged to limit their length of visitation time and the number of people visiting a patient to ensure adequate time for rest and recovery.

Mission Hospital general visiting hours:

9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m., seven days per week

Visitation after 9:00 p.m. may be arranged with approval from the Nursing Unit Supervisor. Nighttime guests are required to check in with a Security officer at the Visitor's Entrance Information Desk and wear a visitor's pass.

Any person with a fever, upper respiratory infection, sore throat, cold or any other infectious condition, or those who have been exposed to chicken pox, measles or mumps within the last three weeks should NOT visit Mission Hospital. This will prevent the spread of illnesses that can seriously compromise the health of our patients.

The following specialized unit operate with restricted visiting hours or special guidelines.

  • Intensive Care Units (ICUs)
  • Labor and Delivery
  • Pediatrics
  • Cardiovascular Progressive Care
  • Medical Cardiology Step-Down

Talk with your nurse about the visiting hours specific to your unit and communicate any special needs or concerns you may have. Guests visiting a patient receiving care in a specialized area should contact the information desk at (828) 213-1001 for visitation guidelines. You may also directly contact the nursing unit where the patient is staying for more detailed information.
