Here's What You Get

Your Personal Golden Care Counselors
Your Counselor is available to assist by phone or in person. They can explain Medicare and supplemental insurance coverage. They can explain insurance terminology and answer your questions about health topics and related services. They can also help navigate Medicare Part D.

Your Golden Care Card
Your wallet-sized personal medical ID card contains a PIN number and a file number that makes your medical history accessible via fax to anywhere in the United States or over the phone outside the continental U.S. At home or on vacation, your medical information is accessible when seconds count. Alert stickers for your wallet and car and a magnet for your refrigerator notify rescue and emergency personnel that you are carrying this medical information.

Mission Hospitals Access
Present your Golden Care Card to Inpatient Admitting, Outpatient Services, One Day Surgery and the ED. Your insurance cards, advance directives and medical history will be available to these registration areas via hospital computer.

Predictable Out-of-Pocket Hospitalization Cost
Mission Hospitals accepts Medicare and supplemental insurance as payment for inpatient, outpatient and emergency hospital services. In most cases, this means your out-of-pocket expenses should be totally covered. If not, you will receive up to a $200 adjustment annually from Mission.

No Paperwork

Golden Care counselors file your secondary insurance on all medical claims, wherever they are incurred. A spreadsheet record of all your medical expenses, including out-of-pocket, is available at tax time.

For one small annual fee, you can become a member of the Mission Hospitals' Golden Care Guest Program and receive all of the advantages the program offers. From your easily accessible medical history and help in filing your claim forms to your personal medical expense account and discounts on selected goods and services, we're making sure your golden years are happy and healthy. We think you deserve it!

What It Costs You
(This Won't Hurt A Bit)

For all of the services and benefits included in the Golden Care Program, you pay an annual membership fee of just $50 per individual.

How To Join The Golden Care Program

To be eligible to join you must have Medicare Parts A and B or equivalent coverage and supplemental insurance that meet Mission Hospitals' guidelines. Apply for membership by calling 213-4663 to speak to a Golden Care Counselor. An application will be sent to you.
