Mission's occupational therapy services are incorporated within several different departments, and include:
- Inpatient Occupational Therapy: Interventions are aimed at addressing the cognitive, visual-perceptual, and musculoskeletal deficits that interfere with one's daily living skills. We provide occupational therapy evaluations and treatment for people who are hospitalized due to the following:
- stroke
- head injury
- orthopedic surgery
- pulmonary problems
- cancer
- various other neurological disorders (i.e. spinal cord injury, Guillian-Barre, and Multiple Sclerosis.)
- Outpatient Occupational Therapy: At this time we offer cognitive assessments and recommendations for people who have had mild head injuries. We also offer traditional occupational therapy evaluation and treatment for people who are experiencing visual problems as a result of stroke, head injury or other illnesses/injuries that affect one's ability to live independently. Typical visual problems such as double vision, eye fatigue, difficulty reading, or "blind areas" often called field cuts can often be overcome by working with an occupational therapist.
- Pediatric Occupational Therapy
