Surgical weight loss, also known as bariatric surgery, promotes weight loss by restricting food intake. Mission Hospitals currently offers three surgical weight loss options:
Gastric Banding - Also known as the LAP-BAND ® procedure. For those with a BMI of 35-60.
Gastric Bypass - Also known as the Roux-en-Y gastric bypass procedure. For those with a BMI of 35-50.
Gastric Sleeve- Also known as a Sleeve Gastrectomy. For those with a BMI of 35-60.
