Fullerton Genetics Center

Fullerton Genetics Center

The Fullerton Genetics Center Laboratory participates in College of American Pathologist (CAP) surveys for cytogenetics and molecular genetics and maternal serum screening. Our laboratory directors, Jack Tarleton, Ph.D. and Mark Pettanati, Ph.D., are board certified through the American Board of Medical Genetics. The technical staff includes laboratory specialists certified by the Association of Genetic Technologists.

Thanks in part to the supporters of the Fullerton Genetics Center, we've been able to set the standard in personalized clinical genetics services since 1993. Our genetic laboratory utilizes the latest technology including cytogenetics, molecular genetics and maternal serum screening testing. In addition, we're home to the Western North Carolina Birth Defects Monitoring Program.
