New Technologies for Diagnosis & Treatment

At Mission, we're using the latest advances in treatment and diagnostic technology to help our patients fight cancer.

With highly specific, color-coded PET/CT scans, we're able to detect and stage tumors earlier, easier and with more accuracy than ever before. With this detailed information, we can provide more accurate monitoring of changes in the cancer and more precise treatment.

Noninvasive CyberKnife® radiosurgery allows us to treat tumors of the brain, spine and other sites throughout the body-as well as lesions previously diagnosed as inoperable-with pinpoint accuracy. By delivering highly precise radiation beams directly to the tumor, CyberKnife is able to avoid damage to surrounding critical structures.

With the da Vinci® robotic surgical system, we're offering our patients the most advanced technology in minimally invasive surgery. Aided by a high resolution, full-color 3-D image of the internal structures, surgeons are performing complex procedures, such as prostatectomies and hysterectomies, through just 1-2 cm incisions. Benefits of da Vinci can include reduced recovery times, less pain, decreased risk of infection and fewer complications.

Mission is committed to providing our patients with the latest advances in technology so that we can continue to gain ground in the fight against cancer.
