Children's Intensive Care

Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

Mission's pediatric intensive care unit is a state-of-the-art, nine-bed critical care unit serving newborns to 18 year-olds. One room is dedicated to procedures requiring deep sedation. This room also functions as the Pediatric Inpatient Sleep Lab.

PICU patients with potentially life-threatening illnesses need doctors and nurses who are trained to meet their unique medical needs.

Our PICU physicians include three pediatric intensivists (physicians with a specialization in hospital care of critically ill and injured children) and a pediatric hospitalist whose specialization consists of caring for hospitalized children.
