Pediatric Surgery

We offer a broad range of specialized surgical care for neonates, children and adolescents. In addition to general surgery, the pediatric surgeons perform non-cardiac thoracic surgery, correction of congenital anomalies, and surgery for tumors.

Antenatal consultations regarding fetuses with congenital anomalies are provided for parents. Diagnostic confirmation and pre- and post-management of surgical cases are also available. Telephone consultations with the surgeons are welcome at any time. Call 828-213-1740 for more information.

If your child is scheduled to have surgery at the Asheville Surgery Center, you might want to attend one of our Preview Tours. This helps your child know what to expect and lets them familiarize themselves with the rooms, equipment, and people they will see.

Tours - See the Surgery Center before you have surgery
Designed for children, our Preview Tours give you a chance to see the operating rooms, meet some of the staff, and even watch a special puppet having surgery. Adults having surgery at the Asheville Surgery Center are also welcome to attend.

Tours take place on the first and third Thursday of every month from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Call 828-213-0740 to reserve your spot at a Tour.
