Our child maltreatment evaluation program provides medical evaluations of children alleged to be sexually abused, neglected or physically abused. Physicians and practitioners provide consultations for complex child abuse cases, Munchausen by Proxy syndrome, shaken baby syndrome, and inpatient cases.
We work closely with law enforcement, social services agencies and child advocacy centers. We also often use forensic interviewers from the mental health field. These interviews and exams are done in a compassionate manner at a pace set by the child.
